APPROVAL
All clay and glazes not purchased at Lackler Ceramics must be non toxic, cone 5/6, and approved in advance by Katie. This is non-negotiable to avoid significant damage to the kiln, kiln shelves and other artists' work.
DROP OFF
Work MUST have your name, makers mark, initials, stamp, something on the piece to identify that it is your work.
When you drop off your work, complete sheet with name/phone #, number of pieces and measurements.
Photograph your work before dropping it off.
TIMING
Turnaround time is approximately 3-4 weeks, but this is not guaranteed as the amount of work varies so much (and kilns operate better when they are full).
Please let me know if you have a particular time constraint before you drop off your pieces.
Thick sculptures will be fired on a much slower schedule and will be priced accordingly. No solid clay pieces- I recommend walls measuring 1” or thinner.
REMEMBER
Greenware must be dry, no wet work.
No single firing. Glazed greenware will not be accepted.
You have 30 days from the date you were notified of completion to pick up your pottery.
AGREEMENTS:
1. If any pieces are damaged in the firing process I will not hold Lackler Ceramics liable for more than the firing charges for the damaged pieces.
2. I agree to pay for any damaged shelves and/or damage to the kiln caused by my work.
3. I am responsible for clearly identifying my work.
4. I must photograph my work when dropping off.
5. If I don't pick up my work within 30 days of the date it has been fired, it will be discarded.
