Firing Services

 

Electric kiln, oxidation firing. Cone 06 to cone 6. 

 

Pricing

Length x Height x Width x Price = Total for that kiln firing

Bisque Price: $.018

Glaze Price: $.05

Minimum Charge: Bisque $2.75; Glaze $4

Stilting will be included in the overall measurement, If using my stilts, the fee is $.50 per stilt

GLAZING

If you would like to use studio glazes you may purchase a Glaze Day Pass for $35 to use the studio and glazes for your work. 

 

Approval

All clay and glazes not purchased at Lackler Ceramics must be non toxic, cone 5/6, and approved in advance by Katie. This is non-negotiable to avoid significant damage to the kiln, kiln shelves and other work.

Work MUST have your name, makers mark, initials, stamp, something on the piece to identify that it is your work. Include name/phone # on the box.

 

Timing

Turnaround time is approximately 3-4 weeks, but this is not guaranteed as the amount of work varies so much (and kilns operate better when they are full), there may be power outages, kiln issues, etc.

Please let me know if you have a particular time constraint before you drop off your pieces.

Thick sculptures will be fired on a much slower schedule and will be priced accordingly. No solid clay pieces- I recommend walls measuring 1” or thinner. 

 

Greenware must be dry, no wet work.

 

No single firing.

Glazed greenware will not be accepted.

 

Pieces will only be held for 30 days. Once the pieces are fired, please pick up ASAP.

Ceramics are delicate and damage may occur we are not responsible for any damage that happens to your pieces.
